After sharing a picture of my homemade buttermilk ranch dressing on Instagram and being asked for the recipe on my post and in my messages, I decided I will just share it with the world!
Much like my refreshing cucumber salsa recipe this is one that was shared with me and has now become a must have in our household.
I’ll add some pictures the next time we make it as I’m rather ill prepared in that manor! I hope your family loves this just as much as we do! And it is so fast and easy to make!
Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
This recipe is an easy go to for both ranch dressing and ranch dip!
- 1 cup Sour Cream I Suggest Daisy
- 1 cup buttermilk you can make your own
- 1 cup real mayo I Suggest Hellmann's
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/2 tbs celery salt grind equal parts celery seed and salt
Combine the sour cream, buttermilk, and mayo and mix until smooth. For this part I suggest using a whisk.
Once smooth add lemon juice, dill and celery salt. You can continue to use a whisk but the dill does get stuck.
You can adjust the celery salt and dill to your own taste.
If you are wanting a dip for veggies or chips use half the amount of buttermilk it will be thicker but still amazing!
You can make as little or as much as you want, just equal parts of sour cream, mayo, and butter milk!
It really is just that easy and just amazing!
This recipe is way easy to make which means it is a great one to let the kids join in on. Adella loves to rip the dill for me and she usually eats her weight in it… but she gags when she tries ranch!
An older child would be able to make this ranch recipe with just a little guidance!
Hint Hint use carrots to dip and try the ranch dressing… Gotta get those veggies in when you can! HAHA
